Linda moving toward the northwest

At 800 am PDT/1500 UTC the center of Tropical Storm Linda was located near latitude 16.5 north – longitude 128.7 west or about 1300 miles/2090 km west-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Linda is moving toward the northwest near 8 mph/13 km/hr. A gradual turn to the north-northwest is expected during the next 24 to 48 hours. Maximum sustained winds remain near 65 mph/100 km/hr with higher gusts. No significant change in strength is forecast during the next 24 hours. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 70 miles/110 km from the center.
