Boris a hurricane again; Douglas christened07.02.08

Hurricane Boris (75 mph) weakened to a tropical storm yesterday, but re-intensified into a minimal hurricane overnight. Boris is centered about 1210 miles west-southwest of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and is forecast to move slowly westward and weaken with time.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Douglas (40 mph) has been christened off the west coast of Mexico. The storm, moving toward the northwest, is located about 380 miles south-southeast of Cabo San Lucas, and is forecast to strengthen slowly over the next 24 hours. (more…)

We are still busy with the new La Paz Infotheque website yet have made basic weather forecasts available on this website. You can find weather forecasts for Cabo San Lucas, La Paz and Loreto and the Mulege area by visiting this pages. “Basic” means it shows a 3 day forecast with temperature in metric Celsius and Fahrenheit, wind speed and wind directions. This is a more simple script and will be down the line replaced with a more sophisticated application for each location.

The weather in Los Cabos is comparable to Palm Springs. Most days are hot and sunny with low humidity.
Average highs range from the mid-70s in the winter months to the mid-90s in the summer months. Spring and Fall highs average in the mid-80s. The increasing popularity of Los Cabos has made its high season run all the way from October through July. During the brief low season, August through September, rental rates are generally discounted by 10-25%.
