Thunderstorm activity associated with system has increased
October 11, 2009
An area of low pressure is located about 325 miles west-southwest of Manzanillo Mexico. Although thunderstorm activity associated with this system has increased during the past few hours, there has been little overall change in its organization. However a tropical depression could still form later today or tonight as the low moves slowly northwestward.
There is a high chance, greater than 50 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
