Hector slightly stronger

At 2:00 am PDT/09:00 UTC the center of Tropical Storm Hector was located near latitude 18.6 north...longitude 109.4 west, about 300 mi/480 km S of the southern tip of Baja California about 105 mi/170 km E of Socorro Island
Hector is moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph - 19 km/h.
A gradual turn toward the west and west-southwest at a slower forward speed is anticipated over the next couple of days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 45 mph/75 km/h with higher gusts.
Some slow strengthening is possible during the next 48 hours.
There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect.
