A broad low pressure area located about 700 miles south of the southern tip of Baja California continues to produce showers and thunderstorms.
Upper-level winds are forecast to become more conducive for development as the system moves to the west-northwest at about 10 mph. There is a low chance less than 30 percent of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
